I find myself pulling my battery out about 3 times per day for system lock ups.

What happens is the phone screen won't turn on. The phone may ring and I cannot see who it is. Or I just pick up the phone to use it for any random reason and the screen won't activate.

The only way to get tthe screen to turn on again is yank the battery and re start.

Any thoughts . ??

I would do a factory reset. If it still persists, exchange the phone.

My S5 has been locking up also, but for a different reason. For some reason it turns on in my pocket all by itself. My pocket gets really hot, and when I take the phone out there are so many apps open that it is overloaded and unresponsive so I have to pull the battery to bring it back. This was happening when I had the simple "swipe" to unlock, which was happening in my pocket somehow. I've had a lot of different smart phones and never had this problem before. I changed to pattern unlock a couple of days sgo and haven't had it come on in my pocket since. The pattern unlock is a pain but at least it seems to have solved the problem.
