    I am trying to root a friends Droid 1 running 2.2.2 FRG83G

My own D1 hooks up to this computer perfectly, it's recognized, can mount SD, Dalvik Debug sees it, etc...

My friends D1 is recognized as a Motorola A855 by Win7, but I can't find a way to mount SD, be seen by Dalvik... nothing.

I tried both Droids on another Win7 machine in the office that is identical, and that machine sees it with no trouble, can mount SD fine. It does not have Android SDK on it.

I'm suspecting driver problem, but I don't know what to do! Yes, I "could" use the other machine to root, but I don't have the option to take over the other machine. I'd rather know why I'm having trouble on mine. I'm baffled.

    Thanks

Just figured out that if I DIS-able USB Debugging, then I can mount SD and access the files. DDMS still doesn't find it though. Something called MotoConnect kicks in, which I haven't seen before.
