Hello all, I love my Droid and am currently running Cyanogenmod 188.8.131.52 with ClockworkRecovery. However, money is tight and its looking like I might have to cut that $30/mo for a data plan out of my monthly bills, which means going back to my old cell phone... Here's my concern, I only paid $50 for the Droid, as I was eligible for "New Every Two" and renewed my 2 year contract at the same time. My fear is, if I try to go back to my old phone and eliminate the data plan, that they might try to nail me for breach of contract or ask to take the Droid back. I would like to keep the Droid if possible, as things will get better for us in a few months. However, if they ask for it back, I am sure I will need to return it to stock. I have a nandroid backup from SPRecovery ESE81 (which I flashed using RSDLite), that I took when the phone was bone stock with the exception of the new recovery image. I then rooted the phone, installed Clockwork Recovery, and then CyanogenMod. So at the very least I know I can reinstall SPRecovery and restore myself back to that point. To get to my point, is it possible to fully revert the phone back to Stock 2.1-update1 without bricking it (recovery image and all)? What files do I need and how would I go about it? I apologize if this question is already answered in some easily findable location... our financial situation just took a quick turn for the worst and I'm kinda freaking out right now, I think I might know of a way to get the phone back to stock, but I don't wanna make things worse by bricking it. I would greatly appreciate anybody's help.
