The following are CompCache enabled kernels. Please feel free to post if you know of others that I've missed. I recommend using ClockWork Recovery to install this patch for best results.

Edit (by Pete): Compcache is to be used on V0.6.2 or later. Reason being is that Compcache in Bugless Beast is more advanced than some other ROMs because you can choose the RAM usage by percentage rather than just turning it on or off. Be warned that flashing alternate kernels may overwrite my Compcache files, breaking the ability to change the RAM usage percentage (although it still may seem that it is working). To ensure that the percentage setting for Compcache is working, compare each setting by typing into a terminal "compcache stats" You should also note that if you install a kernel not compatible with Compcache, I designed the toolkit app to automatically remove the option to enable it.

    Hi,

I'm having a problem getting compcache to work with the P3 Kernels listed here. I've tried Slayher kernels and it seems to work with them but, the speed listed is not the speed I get :/ ex: if I get the 1.2ghz one im still running at stock 600mhz it does not matter which one i get they all seem to not like me and run on stock speeds. Can anyone help me please?

    What ROM?

Are you using SetCPU to detect and set clockspeeds?

The Slayher kernels should still be fully compatible with MIUI as far as I know.

I'm running BB 0.6.1. No, I'm not using setCPU. Do you think that is the problem?

The P3 Kernels will run at advertised speeds but, there's no chance of getting compcache working with them.

Dl and flash this with clockwork
    http://bit.ly/fyiWMg

Then go in to Rom toolkit and enable compcache. Reboot and wait a few mins then check in terminal emulator to see if it started. If your home screen widgets hangs and gets stuck loading after reboot just leave it alone and wait and it will fix itself

This does not work with the P3 Kernels. I tried multiple times "Failed to open /dev/block/ramzswap0: No such file or directory"

I have p3 1100 lv running with compcache.

I first flashed the kernel, than the p3 ramswap zip at the bottom of the kernels index page. Then I flashed petes compcache zip and enabled compcache through the Rom toolkit, reboot and waited a few mins and it worked

@evilgst is your version of Busy Box 1.17? I may be wrong on this but I thought it was required.

I was having the same issue try this -
    In terminal type: "compcache start"
then try the "compcache stats" and you should get a return, least that's what worked for me. Though I'm guessing this gets reset with a restart.

It's a combination of preference and which your phone works best with. Each phone is different and can respond differently to different kernels.

Personally I like Slayher and JDLFG, but Slayher's are more compatible and newer.
