Combine google voice text with regular?

Hey all,

Is there anyway to get my text to my GV # without forwarding? I ask because the built in SMS interface is nicer than that of GV, and with LauncherPro I can get a count on the icon to as how many we have.

Also, I'm now noticing that if anyone sends an SMS to my original #, that it does NOT show up in Google Voice and instead shows up in my normal SMS inbox. This was not the case on my black berry ... Hmmm. In GV settings, I checked the box for Receive text messages on this phone (mobile phones only).

Any thoughts?

Ok, well, I think I got it. By enabling Receive text messages on this phone, this does indeed send the text to the phone vs. google voice ... but it comes in under the GV #, not their number. Similar to the BB .... oh well.
