Hi
I have a question after spending 3 hrs searching for an answer now im asking
I have a droid x running GB .596 Rooted.

The top of the notification bar is blue but the body or whatever you call it when you pull it down it's still the old white background.

I thought the blue shade was part of GB OTA or any vers of GB.
What gives?

Any help is appreciated

The blue pertains to the bar only. The rest is still white.

Not true. i first had the .588 build and now have the ota update and both had/have the dark blue background when pulling down the notification bar. Maybe a bad install. factory reset may help. im not keen on rooting so im not sure.

Visit youTube and look at any of the hundreds of tutorials.
Even if you just took the OTA its blue or any of the leaked versions .588, etc show it's blue.

You don't have a choice it's part of the update, i don't even know how to flash a rom.

Yeah it shouldn't be white. It should be themed just like the bar. Search youtube and google. Dl ninjamorph and you can change it with that, but try a factory reset first

Factory reset?? That sounds a bit radical, is it easyer to flash the rom?

Factory reset is no big deal. It just erases apps and data. Reflashing the rom issue much more drastic, especially if it's the ota

I just saw you're on rooted, try installing the rom without wiping, if you don't want to reset.

Interesting. Mine is white, and stayed white after Factory reset. Maybe because I use SPB Shell?

I wish I could back to the white! Blue on black (like the email) is not an easy to read color combination. No stellar functionality ease-of-use testing there. They should at leats give you the choice.

Hate white.

Droid 2 Liberty GB v0.9

Agree, cosmetically, but from glanceability and readability, esp. when outside blue and black is hard too read. You must be really young with good eyes :)

Esp. for the androiad email - a white background helps readability - for us seniors. Should at least be an option. Google is starting to become Microsoft-like in limiting options and dictating subjective elements.

I'll agree there. That is supposed to be the ideal of open source : options and being able to choose what works for you
