I did on a previous GB ROM. I changed to LauncherPro and that took care of it.
So RC2 still can't keep my exchange email synced. I'm guessing it's because Gingerbread keeps killing the process. I think cvpcs should look into kanging the "Lock Any App in Memory" feature from PE 5.0.2.
I would LOVE to have this also.
I have a weird issue I'm not sure if I've seen it discussed...
Randomly when clicking an icon on my dock all the icons disappear and the edit/uninstall menu pops up... At this point my dock icons are always gone until I reboot. Does anyone know whats happening?
This might not be the right places for this question, since I'm not sure if its ROM related... But I've only seen it happening on CM7
I'm not 100% but I think its a ADW thing not a ROM thing. If you mess with it and swipe down where it is suppose to be it will come back. You would think locking the desktop would prevent this..but sadly it doesn't.
If you are using ADW, you are likely activating the hidden dockbar. Swipe down at the bottom of the screen and your main dockbar should pop back up. You can disable this in ADW settings. Locking the desktop will stop you from accidentally removing icons/editing them but it won't turn it off, as this is a built in feature of the UI.
Oh, yea i can get it to pop back up now... Swipe down and up actions are set to none in my prefs... I guess theres no way to disable?
edit: found it! thanks.
Yes you can. It is a UI function. Go to ADW settings > UI Settings > Hidden Dockbar > Disable.
Edit: I see you found it

You can always make a shortcut for opening the dock. Hold down on the screen like you're adding a widget, click launcher and scroll down. It should say open/close dock.

This actually works? I guess I'll give it a try.
I just downloaded it and i used to have an app just like it called PeakMemUsage way back in the day when 2.1 was the new revelation of the Android OS lol. Its not as pinpoint as wat was described from PE5 but it should definitely help with redraws and apps closing when they shouldn't be. I forgot about apps like this, thanks for the tip Prime!
