If you take a look in the gapps zip file you will see that there is "stuff" written to system, in app, etc, framework and lib folders. So the duh is if you wipe data, or system then absolutely reflash. The big question is whether a rom install without a wipe simply overwrites the existing files, and does not touch or affect the files in /system that were placed there by the gapps flash on the last rom install. I took a look at the files side by side and there are no obvious duplicates, but as many of the /system files of the gapps flash involve Maps, if you install a nightly without reflash of gapps, and have Maps issues, well, there you go. Might also want to make sure your recovery does not do any wiping of system as part of the flashing process, if your plan is to only wipe system, thinking gapps are only a data thing.

All today when I've awaken the phone from sleep it is incredibly sluggish almost to a point of unusable (Build 3). The couple times I have managed to check load averages it has been in the 8-10 range so something is amiss. I've disabled compcache for now to see how that gets handled. If it continues to happen, I might rise the voltages up from primes defaults.

Does anyone have a link for Primes kernel? If theres more then 1 kernel, which is best for CM7 nightly 3? Thanks in advance.

I think I'm having the same problem, after a while, the phone almost seems like it locked up completely. But after a minute or so, it goes back to normal.

Something else I wanted to bring up, is anyone able to surf the web and listen to pandora? Pandora seems to be getting killed off after a site to 2, still stays in my pulldown bit I know its no longer running because if I start it again, it stars back at the splash screen

Link is in OP. No there is only one prime kernel. He is making his own though. He said he is going to try to get out tonight.

Yep, after I have woken it up, and if I set there and watch the load averages and the cpu usage, it eventually comes back to earth. But it takes several minutes, and I loose all notifications or anything while the phone is locked up like that...albiet text messages, twitter/rss updates, etc.

Could this be caused by swap being lowered? I remember prime saying that re permed kernel,he lowered swap for beyer performance on gingerbread

Nah, I doubt it. I've been seeing loss of notifications and text messages for several builds now, before the reprimed one for sure. I'm just now pinpointing it a little better. I guess it's possible different causes caused the same results.

Its one of the last builds built now since the build numbers were reset. It was number 3 now I think its around number 15.
