Anyone know if we can submit bugs for the RC? (I would think so)
There is no RC listed on the mirror site, and 39 does not show anything in the build.prop file. So, is it just a case that our RC (sholes) has yet to be built? Perhaps when the buildbot runs this evening? Just kinda wondering as certainly sholes is lacking features that the other platforms do have functional.
Correct, they just have not built for sholes yet. Also this is independent of buildbot; they build their releases manually.
Can anyone tell me if the camcorder is fully working on CM7? I have tried a couple other ROMs, and the camcorder will record in high or YouTube resolution, but not in MMS or low. Does anyone have the camcorder able to at least record in MMS?
I can confirm. Camcorder in high and youtube, and if you want to zoom you have to do so before beginning the recording.
Thank you sir, and I guess you answered the question that I did not ask correctly. So no more buildbot for the Rc's.
Has anyone else noticed the rotary lock screen behind the the normal end call screen when in a call?
Wiped 3x when going to Winner00 RC1
According to cyanogen all "releases" are built manually; however, obviously after this RC and beyond the bot will continue to put out nightlies.
So then technically the RC status ends up being more of an internal (unto CM) designation as a step towards a final stable release. Then the RC will have the commits at the point of build and do not contain features not found in the main commits branch?
Sorry, not trying to be difficult, I just know that this is going to come up as a point of confusion for those of us who did not play "spin the nightlies" on 6.
Thanks again, you have been most helpful.
I would think so - "hidden" features added to something seems like it would defeat the whole purpose of using github and gerrit - pretty much runs counter to the open-source mentality of the project.
Release candidates are "snapshots" of development for those that don't want to live on the bleeding edge running nightlies, but who are willing to put up with a less than perfect product, possibly report bugs, beta test, etc. instead of waiting for CM7-final.
Perfect. So then for those of us who that thought that RC status would bring some kind of monumental change to the phone from the user side, a big no. RC1, if out today will essentially be nightly 39 or 40 or so.
Then as queried in earlier posts above, it would make sense that a bug tracker thread may be created on the main CM d1 forum, and that perhaps one should be started here? Assuming anyone from the CM team would even stop in and visit (or view) Maybe we could start a D1 bug tracker for CM7 in the X forum here
