I rooted my phone today. Until I feel comfortable that my recovery option is working correctly, I'm staying on the plain ol' boring 2.0.1 root image.

I installed current ROM Manager and ClockworkMod (1.8.0.6). I installed ClockworkMod through ROM Manager, and it sees that ClockworkMod is installed. I was able to perform a backup which I initiated through ROM Manager and ClockworkMod did automatically on the reboot.

However, when trying to restore this backup, ROM Manager reboots the phone into recovery mode and *nothing happens*. I was expecting an automatic restore kick-off similar to how the backup was started automatically.

The recovery menu also looks identical to what ships on the Droid stock, so I'm a little concerned. How to I initiate a restore from this ClockworkMod recovery menu? I don't see how it could've flashed incorrectly since the backup seemed to work.

Ok, I think I figured out what's going on. It looks like the recovery image is being replaced by the stock image after the first boot post flashing clockwork.

I just reflashed clockwork and was able to get into the clockwork menu. I rebooted the phone completely and then tried to access recovery again, and it was back to the stock recovery. the reason the backup completed successfully was because it was the first reboot cycle after it was flashed.

    I must've missed a step
