I tried doing a search and looking through the threads but I can't seem to find out how to clear the cache on the Droid Maxx. I know how to do it on the Droid Razr Maxx, but that didn't seem to work.

Not rooted, boot into recovery. There's an option for it there. Rooted, and you'll need to do it in safestrap 3.65 for the Maxx.

fat-fingered and Maxx-ed out.

I have the X but since it basically runs the same firmware try turning the phone off. Hold power plus volume down for a couple seconds and release. You should see a menu, use volume down to highlight recovery and press volume up to select it. At the next screen press power plus volume up at the same time for a second or so and you should see wipe cache.

Let me know if it's the same on the DROID.

It is the same, thank you. On a side note, I have found that you can hold the volume button then hit the power, eliminates the timing issue.
