    Despite earlier reports that suggested Google may release Chromebooks at a higher price-point, instead they are launching starting at just $349 dollars. The cloud-based net device from Google could eventually become the next evolution of technology for the computing world. It heralds another step toward Google's vision of information easily and quickly available to everyone. Here are the details on the launch:

    For $350 you can get an actual computer that does more than just surf the web, this thing is barely worth $99.

    probably a better investment than the money i dropped on the transformer

    Once I see one for $200, I'll be more interested. I want one, but not for that price.

    If they're web based, does that mean they have no hard drive?

    just installed XP on my CR-48. works better then actual chrome os

    If you installed XP, then I guess that means it has a hard drive.
