After the recent update I lost all my bookmarks. No access at all so I uninstalled the updates and revert to factory. Open chrome and boom, all back. What is going on?

I did not lose mine, but the bookmark screen changed, it is definitely different

I didn't loose them with the update before the one this week either. I didn't like the change in display but was adjusting to it when this latest update wiped them out. Make sure you have the latest from the playstore. I will run the old factory version for a while before re- updating.

Are you running the beta version, or the "official" version? I keep all of my apps updated regularly and am running the official version of Chrome. My bookmarks are still there. At least, the ones I use most often are still there. I haven't checked the folder(s) with my less frequently used bookmarks in quite a while.

I have switched to beta version, think I'll stick with it for a while.
