Just bought root explorer and looked into the app folder and no sign of a Chrome to phone app.

This is really odd. I will upload the market version to my post.

If that doesn't install, then something is really wrong.

I copied ChromeToPhone.apk to the sdcard and deleted it in /system/app
Then I re installed the old one from the SD card.
I then cleared the cache/data for the app and uninstalled.
Then installed the one from the market with no problems and without rebooting.
I know there is a command that you can use to uninstall but didn't want to search for it.

You could try this:
Code:
su
pm uninstall ChromeToPhone
sync

Just bought root explorer and looked into the app folder and no sign of a Chrome to phone app.

Was having same issue.

Used this method:
su
rmapk chrome
reboot

And still had error. Then when into Applications/manage applications and saw it was still there. Went into app - clicked uninstall updates. Then rebooted and it was finally gone and allowed me to install new version from Market.

I just did a wipe data and cache, running FRG22 and downloaded Chrome 2 phone straight from the Market. No issues.

Sweeeeet, thank you that did the job. Weird that it was still there even after removing it with terminal but anyways, thx again.

simpler fix if you have titanium installed.
use it to uninstall app, then reboot and install from market..

bravo...worked flawlessly for us windows based tech guys who have limited or no knowledge of terminal emulator and/or linux based operations.
