Running Bugless V.4 on my Droid 1 and it's not letting me install Chrome to Phone to version 2.0. It downloads and then says "Installation Unsuccessful".

Also, Chrome to phone is showing up in the market but not as installed on my phone.

    Anyone else having this issue?

Mine isn't either. Just says "Installation Unsuccessful". Same with Voice Search. Any ideas?

It's weird cause Voice Search installed fine for me from the market (but not for my fiance) but chrome to phone won't install for me.

I believe it's because they are system apps. If you remove them with Ti Backup or Root Explorer, reboot, then try to download again from market it should work.

Yes that does work. I just did it like you mentioned with Ti backup and it worked.

    Yay

After I replied I noticed there is another (longer) thread with similar complaints for Voice Search and everyone is saying to do it the hard way (in terminal). Not that that's bad, but this way is easier than typing all that on our tiny keyboards! :)

dunno if this would work, thought of it after the fact. Enable Godmode, then apply?

I've never used it myself, but as I understand it, enable godmode allows you to use any file explorer (i.e., Astro, AndExplore, etc) to browse the system areas of the phone, not just Root Explorer. Don't think it would apply to the Package Installer (but that's just a guess).

if you are running bugless beast 0.4 this should work it worked for me.

    use terminal emulator and type

    su

    then type

    godmode

you can then use Astro file manager to access /system/app ... delete voice search and chrome to phone.

once deleted restart phone and you should be able install the newest versions from the market

    good luck!
