Charging issues

When I place my droid down to charge overnight..instead of staying shutdown, as soon as it is plugged on.. the phone comes back on and charges. Is this normal? or am I doing something wrong????? Thanks Dave

The phone will not turn off while charging. If you attempt to power it off while connected to charger it will turn back on. This is normal.

Yes, it will stay on while charging. My guess is that it has to be on so that it can monitor the battery voltage to know when it is properly fully charged and to shut off the charging.
