What happens when you plug into USB or a wall charger?

Are you rooted? Custom ROM? Stock? Is it an OEM car charger?

Motorola Droid phones have had issues with non OEM chargers in the past. Many of those threads on this forum still I'm sure. As asked above, is it an OEM charger?

OEM = Original equipment manufacturer

I posted this a minute after the quick reply above, making this post VOID.

With the information above, I would suggest plugging it into a different car and looking for a different response. If that doesn't happen, return the charger as defective and get a replacement car charger.

Well, it would reboot because CWM wasn't there to interrupt the boot-up. Have you tried uninstalling CWM?

Curiously my D2 went into some kind of boot loop last night. Don't know why. I'm not sure but it may have only been partially resting in the desktop cradle. When I picked it up it was showing a CWM screen. I selected the first option, reboot and it now seems to be working OK. It was blinking the red notification LED and showing barely one bar of battery (also red). It's now rebooted and showed no messages about anything. It's recharging also.

Any idea why it would suddenly act up? It's been working perfectly otherwise.
