I am moving up to an S3 or a Maxx from a Droid Charge. I live in a marginal phone area. Sell me on the Maxx!

Sydman, yours was one of the threads swaying me to Maxx. Most say the radios from Motorola are the best. Thanks!

    Thanks for the quote.

The reception on the MAXX is definitely better than the reception on the S3. While I've been really impressed by the S3, I still feel that the MAXX is the better device overall for the vast majority of people.

I would have to agree with that from what I have seen. Plus the battery life on the MAXX is unbeatable. I love this phone!

I too live in a "Reception Challenged" area. Motorolas have been my solution when others just sat and stared at me.
Have had every Motorola going all the way back to the StarTac, yes I have tried many others and they failed me.
Currently I have some Samsungs in the HH (inc Current S3) iPhone 4S.
Have two Maxxs and they are the Go-To phones (We gave up the Land Line several years ago).

All I know is, you will not be sorry with the Maxx!

I have had three other 4G phones..the Thunderbolt, GNex and Rezound and can say I am finally truly happy with my phone, the Maxx. It's not just because of the battery either. I LOVE ICS on this phone. Its the smoothest running phones I've had yet.

Good luck with whatever you decide on......and welcome to the forums =)

The MAXX's battery is the best thing out right now. Most users that I've seen type in comments online are mainly concerned about battery life. If that is your main concern, get the MAXX. Forget about the other, slightly better stuff that the S3 might offer: the better front and back camera, the faster processor, the bigger screen, etc. The battery life in comparison to the MAXX, sucks, just like every other phone out there. I can vouch that the camera quality and video quality is great on the MAXX. Someone had mentioned on DF that the picture quality on the MAXX isn't good but video is great, and to be honest, it really depends on what settings you use. Unfortunately nowadays, you really have to be an expert on this stuff, in which, I'm not. There might be an app out there where your phone can pick the better settings automatically based on the environment, but I don't know, honestly.
