Changing where contacts are backed up

so some of my contacts are set for backup assistant and some are with google gmail.

Is there a way I go in and move them all into gmail at one time ????

Also I was once told at a Verizon store when buying my OG droid that backup assistant doesn't work with Moto Droid , is that true ?????

Go to People/Contacts-->settings (settings is the 3 lines button on the phone)--->accounts-->gmail--->contacts. This should sync all your contacts from your phone. I am assuming this is what you want.

As far as the OG, I don't believe BA was around. I think they had some type of backup system for your contacts but I can't remember if you could sync your phone with it or not. I always used gmail since it was easier to sync and import contacts to a new phone.
