Changing Themes

    Sorry if this is already on here, i searched and couldn't find much. I was wondering if i want to change themes but keep the same rom, do i have to do a factory reset and clear the cache or what do i have to clear in order for it to work (generally speaking)?? Thanks

    Do NOT clear or factory reset. The theme changes backgrounds etc within the ROM, you should not need to clear.

    The tricky thing about themes is that each theme might include different visual aspects of the system. For example, one theme might include a themed Facebook.apk, while another theme might not. So if you flash that second one on top of the first one, your Facebook will still have the old theme.

    For this reason, it is usually a good idea to flash the unthemed ROM (without wiping data), then flash the new theme.

    so does that mean i would have to re-flash my rom and then a new theme since i am currently themed. (too many "theme" for one statement)

    NO.....all you need to do is flash a different theme over you current one. simple as that

    Flash over and hope it doesn't boot-loop you.

    More often than you'll like you might find that you have to reinstall the ROM, possibly even HAVING to wipe, before you can install the new theme. It's gotten a lot better than it used to be, though. :)
