Changing pictureless contacts't icons

Oh, maybe I should save those very images you just posted here? I'll save them, just in case.

Actually maybe I shouldn't, since I already have them on my phone's contacts list, for the pictureless contacts.

I'm not feeling like the smartest guy on the planet here and now...

I have no preference. If you recommend SafeStrap, I'll use it.

1. Reboot the phone (manually or via an app; ATM reboot to recovery is NOT supported.)

2. At splash screen press menu key. You are now in CWR.

I tried this twice. Not there yet.

Not sure which one's the "splash screen," but I kept pressing the Menu key throughout the whole reboot process, yet no sign of being in "CWR"; rather I'm at my regular homescreen.

I still get nothing. Once the reboot screen went dark gray for so long (like 2-3 mintutes) that I did a battery pull. Thought I bricked it.

The Menu key does nothing when I press it at any time during phone's startup.
