yeah ya gotta decompile the apk to access the values folders where most of the xml's are located for stuff like that... I guess you can hex edit the stuff w/o decompiling but I dunno how or where to begin on that... system wide font color is in framework-res in the res/values/colors/bright_foreground_dark.xml... it usually is set to #ffffff... you can change that to whatever and all the main system menu fonts will change color... lockscreen stuff is in res/layouts/keyguard_screen_tab_unlock.xml.. there are like 5 lines of code by the digital clock section that you write in the new code with the color choice.... other colors and changes are in different apk's in different folders...

So for some reason is is not working for me. From what I understand you can't decompile the frameworkres from a rom you have to decompile the original so it will recompile. So I decompile that one change the those colors... when I compile it the values folder is not there so I move the whole colors folder over, but it doesn't change the font.

If you are using the apk manager 4.8 or 4.9 you can decompile any framework-res.apk and see if it will compile back up.. if it doesn't, it might just be the .9.png's causing the errors.. in that case, you open the framework you wanna decompile, and find a stock framework and open it also and drag all the png's from the stock into the one ya wanna edit.. then decompile it, make your xml edits, compile it, then toss the unsigned framework into an update.zip, rename it by removing the "unsigned" and open it as "open archive", drag the original png's into it to replace the stock ones you dragged in there earlier.. then you can also drag in your edited png's at that time also... close out and hit yes on the pop up box.. you now "should" have a new and themed framework-res.... and if you decompile it then the values folder will appear with colors.xml, styles.xml, etc....

I use 7zip and if you right click the apk and choose 7zip, a sub menu pops up and has an option to open archive.... that's just how I do it, I was told it won't break any signing that has happened so that's just how I keep on doing it...

B-Boy do you have any idea where the text color for system buttons is located at?

System wide buttons all look the same with white text, I would like to change it to black but I can't find the .xml for the life of me lol
