changing/customizing icons

I have a stock droid running 2.1 and home ++, whats the best way to change the appearance of the icons on my screens? Thanks

well you have a few options i personally like an app called folderorganizer. you click on the apps tab then long press on any installed app and all kinds of options come up rename, change icon, etc. folderorganizer saves the data. or you can try bettercut.
