Changing boot animation question

    i just did it, and it worked for me. it took me a couple of times, to make sure i had spaces in the appropriate spots (it's kind of difficult to tell from the way it's laid out on the web page)...

    Just use Root Explorer and copy the new bootanimation.zip file to 'data/local'

    I had a lot of issues with my droid as well, but I found this method to be successful.

    Download Terminal Emulator on the market (it's free). Copy your bootanimation.zip to the root of your sdcard.

    Go into Terminal Emulator and type these commands:

    su
    cp /sdcard/bootanimation.zip /data/local/
    reboot

    Thanks guys..i just downloaded root explorer and got everything worked out..only thing is after i got my custom boot animation to work, and i loaded up..my youtube icon is gone. the widget can still be used but the icon is gone. Not sure what thats about o_O
