Changing Bluetooth Stack

So my Droid X's bluetooth doesn't want to work with my Kia Soul and I can't really update the firmware on my preinstalled Bluetooth in my car, so I was hoping to use a different bluetooth stack in my phone which could be older and more compatible with my car.

Any idea of if that's possible and if so, where I could get what I need?

If you can get it paired turn off the stereo pairing and try that if not I dunno

I tried that and it doesn't work, which is why I'm trying to change my bluetooth software.
