Verizon will fall 1 paper cut at a time with that attitude.
I was with them 21 years, took 4 lines with me.
I totally understand your frustration with Verizon. Heck, I'm still getting bills from them, for $0 stating the account is closed, and they have no clue why. As I said before I left back in May.

Mark, they've been that way for a couple years now. They are so far ahead of the competition, they virtually have none. However, as I've mentioned, the first chance I get to go to Sprint, I'm out, and I'll pay the ETF.

Another paper cut. Every time I hear someone complain about their bill, service, etc I just show them my 5 bars of reception on my G2 and tell them my bill is $50 a month. If they move they move, if not more bandwidth for me ;)

Changes Coming October 16 – 24 Payments, 75% Paid Off to “Edge Up,” $15 Line Discount

Verizon has a few changes to introduce to its Edge monthly device payment plan and a couple for its MORE Everything plans starting October16. Verizon is also adjusting its single line plans, moving them from their original $60 and $75 price points.

Here are the details.

So what do you think about this if it is True?

All true, verified already by Verizon cc. 30 GB is also now $130 on all share. I got a txt with the offer since I was at 16 GB for $130.

As of right now, the individual line plan for $60 is still advertised.

Stupid question. My wife's phone is on edge but I'm not. Can I edge up on her account but trade in my instead of hers? She has a gs5 and I'd rather trade my note 2.

Tap'd via Note 2...

And 40GB is $150. Next increase is 60GB but it's $225...way beyond overpriced. If you Edge up with the new plan prices they give you a $10 discount per Edged phone for plans under 10GB per month and $25 per Edged phone for the 10GB and above plans, so 40GB becomes $125 after the $25 discount for one Edged phone. Then there's the per line charge of $40 for data phones and $30 for basic phones.

For me that means with three lines, two with data, Edging up one phone puts me at $150 - $25 + $40 + $40 + $30 = $235 for the 40GB plan plus the $700 phone divided by 24 months which is $29.67 per month or just under $265 per month before any of the taxes and tariffs.

Right now I'm at $215 on 1400 shared minutes in the Friends and Family plan, one phone has 250/month texts for $5, & I have unlimited data on the two smart phones, and that includes the current $20.83 per month that I'm paying in the Edge plan for one MAXX. Last month I used over 24GB combined so the 30GB plan would get me by initially and it would be $30 per month more than I'm spending now but I'd be capped at 30GB. Data usage monthly isn't going down, it's going up so I'd eventually have to move to 40GB as a minimum.

Every time I've tried to justify moving from the plan I have already I come out paying more for less.

That is the Old graphics I have that sheet when I sign up my family for the plan a couple of months ago...

I don't have the money to buy a phone straight up right now. I am stuck with my OG Razr Maxx until September 2015.

I used to be on my parents plans. I used my moms upgrade to get it. Then she in return used my later, to get hers. Then I got married and moved off of their plan and got one for ourselves. So when I moved to a new account, my upgrade date for my phone number got transferred with it. Verizon said they couldn't do anything about it.

So I am stuck with the OG Razr Maxx for almost 3 1/2 years until my "phone number" update is available (Sep 2015). So if anyone knows of any way besides the edge to get out of this let me know. If not, it is the only option I have. My maxx is on its last legs.
Go to swappa.com or eBay and get last year's model phone for $200 like new. I just got my wife LG g2 because she got tired of her camera on droid maxx and it's like an upgrade at no cost since I break even after selling maxx.

You have the wrong graphic for the new plans

Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I didn't post that graphic for anything other than the existing data package pricing and to compare my unlimited Friends and Family plan with the MORE Everything plan, and how going with that plan and Edging up on one phone would impact my entire bill. I wasn't saying that was the NEW pricing. If you're telling me those data package prices are wrong then I'm confused because that's exactly what the Verizon technician said I would have if I switched on that date (10/15/2014).

This is the new graphic. What's different? 40GB is $150, same as the earlier one. If you're talking about the other section below I didn't post it for that.

Here's the new MORE Everything plan showing how the Edge plan impacts pricing and again it's the same as I described.

I do see one thing I got wrong...the discount of $25 for Edged up phones on the 10GB or higher plans is a discount off the phone Line Access price of $40, not the Voice/Data plan price of $100 or higher ($150 at 40GB), so the numbers shuffle around a bit but the totals are the same.

The numbers are instead $150 + $15 ($40 - $25) + 40 + 30 = $235 for the 40GB plan, plus $29.67 per month (the $700 phone divided by 24 months), or just under $265 per month before any of the taxes and tariffs. Same total but the discount is on the Line Access charge for the Edged phone, not the Data/Voice charges.

Although T-Mobile is getting better here.
I'm satisfied with two unlimited lines for $176 a month. We get our money's worth for sure.
