look like it is a busy year at CES with all the new technology being shown. just about every time I go to a tech news site, there is something new.

We can't forget LG's hat in the ring to compete with Google Home, Amazon Echo, Apple's Siri, and Samsung's Bixbi.

So here is LG's Cloi.

4:30 mark you can see Cloi. Now Cloi is shy and do not like being put on the spot. :D

Google's answer to Amazon Echo show. Eh I mean wouldn't it be cheaper to just get a chromebook or an android phone?

Would you guys buy this?

Honestly...that's pretty much where I am with the whole subject. I have Google Assistant on my phone that is pretty much with me at all times. Tell me again why I need another device to do the same thing?

Agree.

I am writing the show notes for a YT vid I plan on filming later but the customer I see this being for is the senior culture and let me explain. I love my grandmother and I am constantly sending her tech. Now she is getting wiser with it the more she use it but she do not have a computer in the house and prefer the old school way of mailing her bills still. So for people like us yeah it is pointless but for someone like her it makes sense.

Can I send her a tablet, yeah but then I have to walk her through the setup over the phone or hope someone can help her figure that out, though she has an iPad and continues to learn more and more.

But if I can send her a device like that where she can just talk to it and it brings her the latest news, videos, and just provide her the entertainment of interacting with tech like that then yeah it is a nice concept. This fit in the same category of a echo show where it bridges tech with someone who may not be as much of a techie.

Oooooh! Trust me. I understand the troubles with Oldsters and tech. In fact it was just this past Sunday morning I got a frantic call from my Dad. Everything on the Desktop of his Win10 computer was changed. It was all big buttons and none of his usual short cuts were there and he was completely lost. It took a little bit, but I finally figured out he somehow switched to Tablet Mode .

We forgot about Cortana who has a thermostat coming out.

Could Amazon do a better job at presenting Google glass to the market than Google?

Well there is a company out there (Vuzix) looking to do that. But this is a pay to play and the cost may be a little more than most are willing to pay. In fact that was what hurt Google and will be what hurts this.

You want to get people on board then the price needs to be reasonable ($149-$299).
