The defender is the more rugged/bulkier case and has a hard shell with rubberized outer layer. The commuter is more slim with a rubberized inner part and harder outer shell. Both are excellent IMO.

If you want something like that I would say check out the defender. It will probably be a bit bulkier though.

shell holster case

The 8 dollar amazon xt912 case is for the original droid razr (not the maxx).
it is sloped down to fit the camera bulge and will not fit the maxx
the razr part number is MOT-912-HOC
the maxx part number is MOT-912-MHOC

I have 3 of the razr ones to sell off or send back b/c I am exchanging for the Maxx this week anyway.

Anyone need one, 10 bucks!

I was wondering if anyone could tell me...it looks like, from the pictures i've seen, that the buttons on the defender case stick out a bit. Do you get a lot of accidental screen activations?

On the phones I have had it for, no. But I have never had it for a Maxx.
