    Description:

    * Measure Your Heart Rate

    Ever wanted to know how fast your heart is beating? It's never been easier! Use your smartphone's built-in camera to get an accurate reading almost instantly. Anytime, anywhere.

    * Authentic Visual Style

    Beautifully designed, authentic visual interface inspired by real-life medical equipment. Watch as every beat of your heart is drawn on paper and reported on the monochrome LCD screen below.

    * Interesting Facts

    Enjoy dozens of interesting, insightful and fun facts about the heart while you measure your pulse. Just don’t get too excited about them, it may interfere with the results...

    * Authentic Audio Design

    The stride for authenticity and the attention to detail carry over to the audio department, with convincing sound effects that wouldn't sound out of place in a hospital.

    Hints:
    - If you are getting wrong readings (or none at all), please try adjusting the position of your finger on the camera lens. Also, please be sure to take measurements in a well-lit environment if your device does not have a torchlight.
    - Do not press too hard the camera; otherwise you will stop the blood flow of your finger.
    - Do not use with cold or dirty fingers.
    - For a maximum result do not hold your hand upward while measuring.
    - Clean your camera regularly. If the camera lenses are dirty, the heart rate measurement may not be accurate enough.

    This is a AWESOME idea but sadly it won't work on my OG Droid (running v6 Bugeless, 800Mhz kernel). The camera light comes one and it attempts to read (i.e. ekg meter rolls) but nothing happens (have waited as long as 2 min with no results returned). Camera light is more than bright enough (and I've tried with various positions effecting the amount of camera light).

    It seems that there is no specific technical problem here... Although there are some known issues with the different kind of skins (rough skin for example) and we are working on them. Other than that, you can check the updated hints for accurate measurement (now they are on the first post too):

    Thank you for your support. :)

    Doesn't work on D1 with rooted FRG83D, like others camera LEDs shine brightly but results never show. If it helps troubleshoot, a similar app; Instant Heart Rate; works just fine (uses what I assume is the same method to take reading)

    Instant Heart Rate is 1 year old app and Cardiograph is 10 days old. :) We're trying to resolve every single problem on every single device, and even when it becomes perfect it will stay free to reach wider audience. In the mean time, it will be great if you guys keep providing us with useful opinions and ideas for future improvements.

    Thanks to all of you!

    Doesn't work D1. Thank you for app2sd!

    Doesn't work on D1.

    Thank for making your app an app2sd right off the bat. I wish more devs. would do that.

    Right, but I was just passing along the info because that particular program DOES work on the original Droid - thus pointing to the fact that it's not a technical limitation with the Droid's camera causing people to have issues.

    Same thing I was thinking. The latest update didn't help the D1.

    I have been using "Instant Heartrate" for months now. Works flawlessly. My dads a doctor and explained why this works and that in fact it's not "magic" as I had thought...

    Same here, I have a DroidX and get nothing but a flat-line. Light does come on but no readings at all.
    Instant Heartrate works flawlessly though.
