car audio amplifier

My 07 FJ cruiser does not have many input options, but it does have a 3.5 mm, so I can use the headphone output on my Note 5 ,but the sound level is inaudible. Is there an inexpensive amplifier or something to help?

You shouldn't need an amplifier. I've done this with several phones. Make sure that, after you plug the cable in to the phone and the stereo, the volume on the phone is ALL the way up. Also, make sure you're looking at the phone, because Samsung phones like to warn you about listening at high volume since they see the cable as a headphone cable. You can dismiss that warning and crank the volume even higher.
