Can't update?

43v3r rooted and have never changed roms. Before .893 ota I 43v3r rooted. I unfroze all apps. I've never installed any leaked updates. Only thing I've changed is battery icon through rom toolbox and I changed it back with backup?

It downloads, reboots and 1/4 way into installing it gets the exclamation above androids head then reboots and when booted up just says update failed, no error codes. Phone is fine just won't update

I restored to a previous backup and now successfully updated and kept root. So there must of been an app or something from that backup to present that was preventing it?

+1 here, can't update even though the .893 update was fine. And I even tried a factory wipe, still no go. What do you mean by restoring to a previous backup? What are you using to backup?

I used safestrap and made a backup jan. 11 and used that. Don't think made a dif but I plugged my power cord in also

those steps are confusing, im trying to figure out what changed so i can update without deleting anything
