I want to use the new translation feature in google goggles but it does not work with bb 1.0
try just deleting the app and then a fresh install
worked with another app when i had BB
I can not delete the app because when i am in marketplace it only shows :update" and "uninstall" is grayed out and can not be selected. I also looked under setting>applications with filter set to al and could not find it in that list...
Any other suggestions?
I have same issue, but it only started after I flashed back to Smoked Glass 6 from BBV1. Additionally I used Root Explorer to delete a com.google.goggles file that I found in data/apps, which I had high hopes of I it working...but no dice.
Any help or guidance would be appreciated
Hmm, since my ROM does not include Goggles I assume you have extra files left over causing your Market to think you still have it installed.
Download "SQLite Editor Beta" from the market
Open the app and navigate to the market
Open the file titled assets.db
Open the file titled assets10
Edit this file to remove any traces of Goggles
That should do the trick! May need a reboot or a couple minutes for the changes to register.
hey pete i have a question im still using bb 1.0 and when i plug in my phone to my comp it doesnt automatically detect it is there something i can look into like asetting if i wanna connect i have to open up a window instead of it opening up itself. thanks
tried this but did not find anything related to goggles....
Then I would install it manually with Astro, etc.
where can i download it other then the market to install with astro?
heres the apk for google goggles. use astro to install it
Google Goggles 1.0.0 apk - xda-developers
I am also having trouble with Goggles install after installing Smoked Glass 6. Originally it wouldn't update or uninstall. I removed the application from /system/app and the market sees it as not installed but subsequent installations fail. Even installing the apk through Astro is failing.
