Can't sync with email to get on phone

I cannot add my two email accounts to my phone and I get a message that says "cannot connect to the mail server to verify account". My email goes through a small, local provider in town. They recently switched to webmail and I had a similar problem on my old Storm. Can anyone help with what I need to do to get my home and work email (both through same provider) on my new Incredible?

:welcome: to the forum. I think this is very similar to what happens with people in school and have college email set ups. You should try to contact your email provider and ask them what you need to do if someone doesn't give you an answer after my post.
