Can't switch Keyboard

Hi,

I have a very strange issue, and I've had this with EVERY Rom I've tried. I can NOT switch away from the HTC Keyboard, even though I have the Gingerbread KB and some others installed. I've "Checkmarked" them, but when I want to type, the HTC KB pops up. Any Ideas?

I switch keywords by long pressing in the text field. Then I get an option of which keyboard I want to use.

Well Dang...that worked. I'm used to my Motorola Droid X and clicking the 123 button to switch, but my HTC Thunderbolt doesn't have that. Just tried your suggestion and it worked like a charm. Thanks a lot!

Not a problem. I switch keyboards from time to time when I want to "try" and use Swype.

Just got my wife a TB yesterday and she hates the stock keyboard it comes with. I put a GB keyboard on it but coudln't change it for the life of me. I will try this when I get home. Too bad its not as easy to figure out as it is with my DroidX.
