Wiping did the trick... Lame, but at least it fixed it! Thanks for the help guys!
I did read somewhere today someone had the same issue with the rom, however, they did not receive or send. And the phone was heating up. It may be a rom issue.
I'm having the same issue, also using Go SMS. When I try to send a text in the messaging app, it crashes. Fixing permissions didn't work, neither did wiping data and reflashing. I'm using Cyanogenmod 7 RC2. Perhaps thats an issue, but the nightlies have been working fine for a while now.
OP, did you ever find a solution? I did find this but I don't seem to have a call back number settings.
I think the trick was locking the app. There are still a few bugs with 5.0.2 but the texts seem to be working. Might switch back to 4.2 since it's such a smooth and solid ROM.
dont know if CM7 has the ability to lock apps. he noted he was using that.
Hey guys, just want to toss a wrench into your thought processes, but I'm not even rooted and I am even having SMS problems (General Problems). When I first texted someone, it showed them a 16-digit number (which researched suggested it was my SIM card number). And reboots don't work. It'll be fine one day and not working the next. Personally, it's pissing me off, but there's not much I can do about it right now.
