It was working fine, but the last few hours I can not send out any texts. I can receive them all day. I can get calls, go on the internet, etc... When I attempt to send one, it shows it sending (I'm using Go SMS, but stock messaging does it too) and then just sits there and nothing happens. Even after a restart, I've tried on 3G and Wi-fi and still nothing. Any suggestions or solutions??

Yeah I am rooted, I'm using PE 4.2. I've had it on my phone for almost a week and it was not a problem at all. It is still not sending this morning. My texts aren't big at all. I've tried sending a couple sentences and I've tried sending one word. They all have the same result of showing "Sending..." and nothing more after that.

I don't know how old you are so I am just tossing out ideas... Perhaps your parents blocked your text sending?

Or maybe you have a text cap and you hit it?

A lot of programs start at boot. Did you by any chance install a program that prevents other programs to start at boot?

Haha @ Xkape, nah I have my own cell phone plan and have unlimited texts. I'm pretty sure there was nothing I downloaded that did anything because it was fine and then from one text 20 minutes later, it wouldn't send and just sat there...

No task killers at all. I even tried flashing a different ROM, that didn't matter. I didn't really wanna do a flash and wipe, but that might be the next step in this process of figuring out why it won't complete the sending of my text. In the meantime, thanks for the help! Hopefully we can figure this out.

Try managed applications/all/messaging/clear data/ and reboot.

I did read somewhere today someone had the same issue with the rom, however, they did not receive or send. And the phone was heating up. It may be a rom issue.

I'm having the same issue, also using Go SMS. When I try to send a text in the messaging app, it crashes. Fixing permissions didn't work, neither did wiping data and reflashing. I'm using Cyanogenmod 7 RC2. Perhaps thats an issue, but the nightlies have been working fine for a while now.

OP, did you ever find a solution? I did find this but I don't seem to have a call back number settings.
