Cant send text

Can someone please help me here, Im new to droid and my text were working fine but now all of the sudden I try to send and a little grey envalope pops up in lower right corner with a red L in it and it wont send. Does anyone know what the deal is? my phone model is LG ALy

I'm not sure what that is, but have you tried rebooting your phone? One thing that a lot of people keep forgetting is that these aren't phones, these are computers with phones attached, so they require the same TLC as a PC
I reboot my phone at least once every 2-3 days, if I don't I have all sorts of issues.
