Can't receive pictures on Galaxy S3 when sent as txt from Iphones, help!

Can't receive pictures on Galaxy S3 when sent as txt from Iphones, help! Also will only send emails when connected to WIFI, I have an Iphone and the Galaxy is my wife's, can't get my head around it.

When the Galaxy receives a picture does it appear as a blank media slide show? Some iPhone text messages I wait for the iPhone multi media presentation to end, then the picture is available. Be sure the iPhone is sending one picture at a time.

Multiple text pictures from android to android seems to work fine. I prefer emailed pictures. Less compression and much higher quality. Have you considered Google Hangouts for sending pictures?
