Can't open Apps (Helix Launcher)

Once the app was downloaded the "open" selection button was grayed out. Tried to look for it on the drawer but it wasn't there. Looked for it under setting/app/manage found it but only option was to uninstall.

Tried hitting the home button on the home screen to see if i can select it but that didn;t work either. Any suggestions?

You probably set the Adnroid Home as default. Try going to menu > settings > applications > manages applications > menu > filter, all. Select Home and then select Clear Defaults. Then go back to your homescreen and hit the Home button and you should be able to pick Helix as your home. **Make sure you get rid of all the widgets and icons and your Android home before switching to Helix as your default.
