How did you try to unrooting the phone? Did you use a step-by-step tutorial?

You are not running any custom roms or anything I assume?

So you ran that but it never completed? And you still have superuser in your app list?

Sorry I'm just trying to get a full picture.

Okay so you downloaded DROID 4 utility on to your windows computer.

    Plugged in your phone.
    Ran the program.
Chose unroot and it ran all the way through and said it was successful.

Try doing this. Do a complete factory reset. Wipe all your data and cache.

    Try the unroot method again.

I'm trying to do some research to help you out man. We'll get it figured out :)

Probably a stupid question but you are making sure to allow super user like it says correct?

Wait the very first time that you ran the utility did it do so successfully or did you always get the.. "system cannot find specified files"?

Because I've been reading that after the utility you have to manually remove superuser.

If it never ran successfully then I have one last thing to try.

Delete Droid 4 utility from your computer. Restart your computer.
    Restart your phone.

Re-download the utility and extract it to your desktop.

Plug your phone into a usb on your pc that you haven't used yet and let it download the drivers again.

Then right click on the utility and click "run as administrator"

The first time it ran successful. I will uninstall everything . Have done it twice. Maybe a 3rd will do. I have super user its on my apps. I always run the utility as administrator .
