Can't install FRG83D update on a rooted Droid w/ uninstalled system apps

    I'm assuming that's the culprit, at least. I keep getting the FRG83D notification but every time I try applying it, it fails. I previously uninstalled Twitter (and maybe others, I don't remember) and I think this is what is causing the problem.

    Is there a way for me to install the FRG83D update successfully without having to go through the hassle of flashing an .sbf first?

    No, theres no reason to. If youre on a rom you most likely have the most current Gapps. If not flash the most current gapps you can find and thats essentially it. All the source based roms have had the changes that were in FRG83D long ago.
