can't get rid of blockbuster app

i tried doing the long push or whatever but i don't get an option to delete, just to add to home or group. and i hate goddam blockbuster, they once sent me a collection notice for 6 dollars in late fees!

i'm guessing the OS is the droid version 2.3.4

i tried connecting my phone to my pc and putting it in 'pc mode' but i still can't figure out how to get the damn apps off

Then yes you will have to root the phone in order to remove it.

Removing a stock app can stop future OTA updates (if that matters to you). Best to just rename it in case you need it back.

It is relatively safe to root.

It is relatively unsafe to delete bloatware in terms of getting updates from your carrier.

An alternative is freezing via Titanium Backup.
