cant get in recovery!!

I am trying to get into recovery and whenever i hold x and the power button a triangle with an exclamation point and picture of a phone pops up. Im super freaked that i bricked my phone. Please HELP!!!

thats not a brick.. thats stock recovery. what recovery system were u using?

lol you mean u were using SPRecovery? but can you turn on the phone and use other root apps? and what are you running (ROM or similar)?

lol sorry let me try to exlpain better. I downloaded the stock 2.2 rom and after it updated the phone froze on the boot animation. I tried pulling the battery out and then getting into recovery to restore a back up and when i hold the x and power button i get the screen with the triangle and exclamation point

yup need to install RSD - do option 1 then 5

i already have rsd lite and all the other stuff from when i rooted it the first time. i will try it now

i cant turn my phone off with it connected to my computer. everytime i take the battery out and put it back the phone just turns and sticks at the boot animation

also. im trying to dl the file in option 5 and the progress stops at 14%

alright sorry to be a pain. I noticed that i have two files still on my computer from when i rooted for the first time. I have sapphire-0.7.0 update and SPR recovery_ese81.sbf. Would be able to use one of these instead of the file in option 5 since the dl is freezing?
