cant get in clockwork recovery

im rooted and just recently i havent been able to rebot in recovery. ive tried using the normal way where you hold the x key, as well as the method in rom manager where it will just reboot the phone for you.

the motorola sign comes up and never switches to the yellow sign. after a while the screen will just flash and the phone will reboot normally.

what do you guys think i should do?

This happens sometimes, try flashing an older version of clockwork (option is near the bottom in ROM manager).
