Cant get clockworkmod to let me select and install from zip file

New to Android, have rooted DroidX. When going to bootstrap recovery I can scroll thru the menu options using the volume keys, but I can't select any. (I was told the camera button would work, but it does not. I have tried every combination of pressing key(s)) I am forced to pull the battery every time, because I can't select anything in clockwork mod

I am trying to install Gb...1. is it worth the trouble?

2. Does anyone know how to make clockworkmod work with the X

The camera button is used to select. Does the button work, can you take pictures? Are you using droid x bootstraper?

Yes the camera works fine however none of the buttons on the phone will allow me to make a selection in clockwork mod

Make sure you have the DX clockwork and not the D2

If your camera button doesn't work I dont think it was from rooting. You could try a data reset. That might help
