Can't download a file, says content is not supported even though it is

I'm trying to download the MIUI rom on my phone, the file is in .zip format and I have several apps that can handle .zips, including astro. I download .zip files all the time, why does it say this particular one is not supported? This happens all the time with random zip and apk files.

What are you using to download it? Personally I think it sounds like it might be a problem with the download link itself.

Trying it from this link which works on my girlfriend's Droid. This is bizarre. Any ideas anyone?

It works running ud 1.0 but not running the earlier version of the Chinese roms on mine
