can't delete messages from gmail

when I go to trash on my gmail account I am unable to delete any ofthe messages in there I never had this problem before
usingDroid razr android version 412
thanks for some assistance

Yea, I can't either. Since the app updates I assume it's how they designed it.

I didn't notice that until just now. But I did see that while viewing the Trash folder...select the menu (3 dots) and there is now an option to Empty Trash. All gone at once! I don't think that was there before the app update? I like it.

Lol ah there it is. I was selecting messages first and then it wouldn't allow you to remove them.

I can only delete them one at a time.....from the inbox
I can't delete any from the trash folder

When you are in the trash folder select the menu ... there is a delete all or empty option. Don't click a message...just open trash and select menu.

OK just found out that U can only delete files in the gmail trash folder from your computer or wait 30 days & they will be automatically deleted :biggrin:

on my phone which is android 412 when i click the dots no option to delete
on my tablet which is android 422 I do get the delete option

I don't think it's an Android OS item...I think that option appeared in a G Mail app update. When you open Play Store > My Apps is there an update available for G Mail? That's when I noticed the new option, which was 3 weeks after I hot KitKat.
