I was having trouble with my Galaxy s3. I sintalled Jelly Bean 4.1.1 on saturday. On sunday my phone was acting wierd and then froze, I did a hard factory reset. After the main set-up, I tried to add my Yahoo! mail. I got a 1) Cannot connect to server; 2) a another error : 10102 LDAP lookup failed. and 3rd error "timeout " my request. It won't allow me to add the email, when in fact i was working up until the reset

I already tried *228 and it said the sim was registered

Thanks for your help.

Try these two possible solutions.
  1. Log into your Yahoo email account from a desktop PC, then log out again.
  2. Install the Yahoo email client from the Play Store and set up the account. Once properly configured, allow it to connect and enter your user name and password. Once complete, either try the stock email app or delete the Yahoo app first, then try the stock app. This second method worked for another member. It also worked for me in reverse - I couldn't get the stock app to work with Yahoo until I uninstalled the Yahoo email app.

I'm wondering if it's the yahoo app...I'm not getting notifications.
