Just wondering if you can turn just the 4g LTE off since that seems to be the biggest standby drain for folks...

Go into Settings>Wireless Networks>scroll all the way down to the bottom where it says Mobile Networks>change to CDMA only instead of LTE/CDMA

Cool! I still haven't pulled the trigger, but since the my wife's Incredible 2 is way better with 3g than my OG Droid, I figure I can live on 3g for "most" uses.

Yeah honestly I have not used 4G since I had the phone, due to the battery drain. I am in a WIFI environment most of the time and when I am not 3G is more than sufficient for checking FB, Twitter, and a few other web pages.

Yup, it's even easier if you download the "LTE switch" app which gives you quick access to enabling/disabling 4G.
