It stands for Just in Time for how it compiles code.

The JIT compiler is a trace-based compiler which detects hot code and then compiles that code as needed. Minimal heap use and no need for persistent storage are features which should help the adoption of JIT into mobile devices, where the performance boost of JIT compilation has to be balanced against the cost in battery life and memory

    Glad you asked?:)

Christim is correct. For me it is like adding a booster to you phone that kick in when needed.

I think Chevy or Adamz have a JIT kernel on their site

I can't find the link I'm looking for. I thought that on of the developers had a link to download a kernel for JIT but I must be wrong. I'f I find it I'll send you a PM.

I think I may have give bad or out-of-date advice. I just read this in another thread:

"I just went from BB.8 to ultimate droid and im oc to 800mhz, but it seems to be running pretty slowly.
JIT is enabled, but it was slow before it. so i dont think thats an issue."

Makes me think that JIT may be included in the Rom and all that is required is a setting but I have no idea where to look.
    Will continue to look tomorrow.
